THE PADEL LEAGUE

The Padel League is a private league and tournament series, fully organized and managed by its committee, independent of any federation or public entity.

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM & RULES

Structure
→ The League consists of three tiers: Tier 2 (T2), Tier 1 (T1), Major, plus a Masters Final.

→ Players accumulate points from each tournament across the season.

→ The Masters Final is reserved for the Top 16 players in each category.
Seeding Rules
→ Seeding will be determined according to the following priority:

1. Official FIP points.

2. Official FIP-recognized international participations.

3. Points accumulated in The Padel League.

→ As the League progresses and players accumulate sufficient points,
seeding will gradually shift to be based primarily on The Padel League
rankings.
Masters Qualification
→ To qualify for Masters:

1. Must be ranked in the Top 16.

2. Must have participated in at least 2 tournaments in each tier (T2, T1, Major).

→ Points earned in the Masters do not carry over to the next season; they only decide the season’s winners.
Main Draw & Qualifiers
→ Main Draw begins at the Round of 32.

→ If more than 32 teams register in a category (Men or Women), a qualifying stage will be held.

→ If 32 teams or fewer register:

After first round there will be two brackets

1. The winners will continue in the Main Bracket (competes for points & prize money).
2. The losers will continue in the Classifiers Bracket (competes for seeding in the next tournament, no prize money).
Points System
The points distribution is as per the schedule below:

→ Points are awarded only in the Main Bracket.

→ Points gathered in the Tier 2s, Tier 1s and Majors will determined the finalists who qualify to the Masters.

→ The points earned in the Masters are to determine the season winner as a season finale

→ Points earned are carried over into the next season as per the carry over schedule, except those earned in the Masters Final, these will not be carried over.
Prize Money
→ The prize money is earned from round of 16 and is distributed in the different tiers and tournaments as per the schedule below.
Tournament Timeline
→ Tournaments qualifiers always start on a Thursday.

→ The main draw is over 7 days starting on a Sunday

→ Finals are held on a Saturday.

→ Masters start on a Tuesday.
Match Officials
→ Certified referees will be present throughout the tournament to oversee all matches.

→ Decisions of referees are final and binding.
Match Format and Rules
→ ⁠All matches are played in a best of 3 format.

→ The Golden Point rule applies throughout the tournament.
General Provisions
→ The Technical Committee reserves the right to postpone, modify, suspend, or cancel any tournament or the League entirely in case of unforeseen circumstances, force majeure, or situations beyond reasonable control.

→ In such cases, refunds or compensations, if any, will be determined solely at the discretion of The Padel League.

FAQ

What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be paid to those teams who did not make the draw after the tournament ends.
Can I change my partner?
  • Once registered and the draw is done the partners cannot be changed.  The team would have to withdraw if one partner is not able to make the tournament.
  • Partners can change from one tournament to the next.
Level guidelines
All levels are allowed to participate and will follow the Seeding criteria.
